Hi, I’m Jesse
I’m an artist & graphic designer who grew up in New Orleans and New York City. Honolulu has been home since 2001 when I came to work for the Waikiki Aquarium. Now I work in Honolulu as a freelance graphic designer. I also teach 4th graders bike riding skills for Hawaii Bicycling League’s BikeEd program.
What is Mana?
A Polynesian concept, “Mana signifies a supernatural or divine power, a life force, or spiritual energy.” To me, Midnight Mana is when we are lost in the flow of making something, and all other thoughts are forgotten. As a kid I was always up late at night drawing, tapping into the Midnight Mana.
